T-34 MENTOR

We provide complete rebuilding capabilities for T-34 A&B Mentors. Our facility has completed 4 ground-up restorations on these aircraft. We are in the process of completing 3 more at the present time. We have modified more than 35, T-34 Mentors to include new wing spars, engine conversions, Wing spar mods and avionics upgrades. One of the most popular modifications to this aircraft is the engine conversion to the TCM IO550B engine.

T-34 ENGINE CONVERSION

To increase performance, reliability, resale value, and strength we can upgrade your T-34 A or B to either the TCM IO520 or IO550 engines. We remove your original O-470 engine and completely modify the structure of the engine compartment. This modification removes the old light weight 55 year old structure up front and replaces it with new, much heavier material to accept the higher horsepower engine.

New IO550 Engine

The new IO550 engine is installed with all new components. Including, alternator, starter, mags, pumps, fuel system, harness, hoses, prop governor, exhaust system, specialized baffles and custom paint if so desired. Nothing is used from the old engine.

New IO550 Engine Installation

Once completed the aircraft is basically brand new from the firewall forward. New McCauley or Hartzel propellers and spinners are installed. The configuration up front is the same as a brand new Bonanza would be. We can provide smoke systems as can be seen in this particular mentor.
